The optokinetic response is a reflexive eye movement that occurs in response to a moving visual stimulus. When an individual is presented with a moving pattern or object in their visual field, their eyes will track the movement to keep the object in focus. This response helps to stabilize the image on the retina and maintain visual acuity during continuous motion.
