Liquid crystal polymer is a type of material that can be injection molded.

Electric connectors made using this material have a slightly rough, matte texture.

It is used as the plastic for some CPU sockets such as some from Lotes.

It can be used to make SATA connectors.

Celanese produces LCP materials. Celanese's Vectra LCP and Zenite LCP are specifically designed for CPU sockets.[1] For example, Zenite 5145L, which requires an injection pressure of 6000 to 7000 Psi.[1]

LCP injection molding can be simulated in Moldex 3D.[1]
