View selection

View selection is the process of picking a select number of views to render of a 3D scene.
For a world-fixed 3D display, the number of views is potentially vast, because the user's head could be anywhere relative to the screen. Instead of rendering all possible views (at all possible angles), a system can detect where the user's head is and only render views in that general direction. This is very efficient.
It can be done using a depth sensor on the display to create a depth map, and render views towards objects that are closest to the sensor, reprojected.
