A spherically symmetric spike wave is a wave that results in a sharp point that is generated using a multitude of sources. It has a high potential at a point of intense constructive interference.

Its spacetime shape is the inverse of a future-facing light cone irrespective of causality.

It can be generated using holography, where there are many sources surrounding the volume of interest.
