Partial solidity is a perceptual state where some cues showing an object to be solid are present, but some are not. The most known example is of flatfocus solidview images, such as classical stereograms.
It is a mental state where there is stereopsis with some cue conflict.
It happens with magic eye pictures.
RealD 3D cinemas have partial stereopsis.
All biscopic flat-focus stereoscopic imagery causes partial stereopsis.
