Mirage World was an app and startup focused on smartphone AR tools. It focused on basic AR tools for placing objects in the world. It also had a geo capability. It was an iOS app.
Mirage World was founded before Apple released ARKit.
Mirage world 1.1 added freeform tools, which allowed the user to place 3D text, objects, and draw in 3D in the world around them by pointing to them using their phone. It used a world cursor dot in the center of the screen.
It was founded by Patrick Piemonte, who used to work at Apple.
