A lithium ion battery is a type of battery. It can be used in smartphones and laptops.

Production[edit]

A traditional process may include 15 steps, including:

  • Mixing[1]
  • Coating
  • Drying[1]
  • Packaging
  • Degassing[1]
  • End of line testing, also called EOL testing[1]

Construction[edit]

There is a graphite structure containing lithium ions, which acts as an anode. The anode is copper with a layer of graphite on it. The cathode is aluminum.[1]
