LCD manufacturing is a process of making LCDs. It is the process of making AMTFTLCD panels, which are active-matrix thin film transistor liquid crystal displays.
In the year G2004, The Information Network reported that the LCD market was expected to grow based partly on lithography tools from Canon and Nikon.[1]
Corning produces glass substrates for LCDs.[2] An example is Corning EAGLE XG.
LCDs have been made in various generations. See LCD generations.
Process line[edit]
Inputs: glass substrate. Or pre-patterned ITO glass substrates.
Large area deposition systems can be used.[3]
The TAB process can be used.
Specifications[edit]
There are various standards that apply to LCD manufacturing.
- IEC 61747, which contains multiple parts
