A high-FOV near-eye lightfield display is a type of near-eye display that has lightfield capability and a high field of view. It has not yet been built.

It is good because if there are head movements in a 3D tracked headset, the virtual objects will stay in the user's field of view.

Also, it is good with a not-moving head because of overall scene visibility.

It can be about 80 degrees horizontal field of view or higher.

Existing near-eye optical see through displays max out at about 50 degrees field of view. Anything above 50 degrees is good, but above 80 is better.
