An HDMI connector port

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is an electronic digital port that can be used for video transfer. The signals that pass through HDMI are TMDS signals, and are electrically compatible with DVI and DisplayPort.

HDMI can transmit digital audio as well.

HDMI is one of the ports used on the original Oculus Rift.

HDMI can be used to transmit stereoscopic 3D video. In the case of some VR headsets, the image sent down the wire has two images side by side in one video frame.

VR headsets from the mid-2010s often use HDMI.

HDMI is fundamentally a flat-focus format.
