The Gear 360 is a 360-degree camera from Samsung.

During SDC 2016, on May 1, 2016, Samsung announced that they would integrate Gear 360 with it's content platform Milk VR.

Software[edit]

The dedicated mobile application greatly extends available recording options and add the support for time lapse and looping video. The camera works with all phones that can run the required Samsung Gear 360 Manager app, such as the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5.[1]

Just like Galaxy S5, the Samsung Galaxy S7 has palm gesture feature that enables users to take screenshot of their phone. We have seen that this feature has been implanted to other Galaxy S series smartphones released after Samsung Galaxy S5. [2]

Gear 360 is also compatible with the Google Street View app. That means you can capture and instantly publish your photo spheres to Street View, and invite the world over to your street. Click to get the Google Street View app.[3]
