Fakespace, Inc. was a company that developed virtual reality products.
It is synonymous with Fakespace Labs.
In 1999, Electrohome acquired Fakespace Inc. and split off Fakespace Systems.[1]
Founding[edit]
Fakespace was founded in the year G1988. It began a collaboration with the VIEW laboratory at NASA Ames for the design of a new type of visual display for VR, which was a CRT-based stereoscopic viewer. The display was mounted on a counterbalanced articulated arm.[2]
