F8 2018
F8 2018 was the Facebook developers conference in the year +2018. The keynote was almost entirely full of bunk.
It was held at the San Jose Convention Center (Also known as the McEnery Convention Center).
It was scheduled for May 1 and May 2.[1]
The beginning of the event was focused on Facebook's classical business, focused on smartphones.
F8 2018 was a clone or riff of Apple's WWDC events.
AR and VR[edit]
It was announced that Facebook Messenger would have augmented reality features.[2]
VR was spoken about at the end of the first day's keynote.[2] Hugo Barra was the speaker at the end.
Hugo Barra announced that facebook was partnering with Xiaomi, a chinese company, on the Oculus Go.
A new version of oculus rooms was announced. Oculus TV was announced. Oculus venues was announced.[2]
