An electromagnetic field is a mathematical construct in which electromagnetic results can be obtained.

An electromagnetic field has spatiotemporal extent that is the same as a portion of reality.

The following is a list of concepts for electromagnetic fields that are largely true:

  • Lenz's law
  • Maxwell's equations
  • Faraday induction
  • Lorentz force
  • Gauss' law
  • Coulomb's law
  • Ampere's law
