A circuit board is a board with electronic circuits on it. It optionally has wiring and electronic components mounted to it to form the circuits. Circuit boards have also been called "printed circuit boards", or "PCB"s.

Circuit boards can be multi-layer. Typically, a 4 layer circuit board has its outer two layers for signals, and its inner two layers for power and ground.

Circuit boards are typically made of a fiberglass epoxy laminate.
