The Wii Remote is a motion controller by Nintendo for the Wii. It is the main controller for the Wii.
The Wii Remote has 3DOF motion tracking. In the year +2009, the Wii MotionPlus was released, which is an accessory that plugs into the bottom of the remote and gives it better motion control capabilities.
