Viper 8 is a magnetic tracking system sold by Polhemus. It is part of the Viper line.
The viper 8 can do 960hz. It is named viper 8 because it has 8 sensor inputs.
The construction of the gadget is based on two nearly identical circuit boards that are stacked together parallel to each other. Each board has four sensor ports. The lower board has sensor ports one through four, and the upper board has sensor ports five through eight.
