An control peripheral is an electronic gadget or gizmo that is used to control a computer.
An example is an electromagnetic 3D tracking system, such as those made by Polhemus, such as the Viper 4.
For example, a computer mouse or a 3D pen.
In a visual HCI loop, it is complemented by a visual peripheral, basically a display.
