The Epson Moverio BT-300 is a set of smart glasses from Epson. Priced at $779. It has an upgraded design and upgraded technology compared to its predecessor BT-200.

There is a developer edition of the Moverio BT-300.

There is a Moverio BT-300 FPV Drone Edition for drone pilots.

Features[edit]

What sets Moverio BT-300 apart is the Si-OLED technology that it used for the display. With a resolution of 1280 x 720, the Si-OLED display provides sharp, bright and vibrant images. The display, when turned off, are totally invisible as it merges seamlessly to the glasses.

The Moverio BT-300 smart glasses uses an Intel Atom processor and runs on Android 5.1. The Moverio BT-300 also weigh 20% lighter compared to its predecessor.

Hardware[edit]

The Moverio BT-300 spots a transparent display that projects images on an 80 inches floating screen 5 meters in front of your eyes. There is also a 5 Megapixel camera located at the front of the glasses along with the motion and ambient light sensors.

The Moverio BT-300 is connected to an Android controller that has a trackpad and basic Android buttons through a wire. This provides a familiar interface to existing Android user although an improvement would be welcome in the form of wireless or swipe/gesture control.

Software[edit]

The Moverio BT-300 itself runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, thus providing a popular platform for games and apps to be developed.
