OpenXR is a specification for a VR runtime managed by the Khronos Group.

Unity supports OpenXR.

Windows supports OpenXR by way of SteamVR. SteamVR is the de facto OpenXR runtime on Windows as of 2024.

Linux supports OpenXR by means of Monado natively.
