AR glasses means "augmented reality glasses". They are see through display glasses. They are buzzwordy.

AR means a display that shows virtual content that moves in 3D in the environment that is overlayed upon it.

AR glasses typically don't show the image in the whole piece of glass. There is typically a small square in the center that is the actual diplay. This is the case for the Magic Leap.

It was rumored that Apple was going to release AR glasses. The rumors spread in the year 2019.

The highest form of AR glasses is a set of glasses with virtual content registered to the real world environment.
