Lumus is a company that makes optical engines and waveguides for near-eye displays. Its focus has been on AR glasses and headsets. It is based in Israel. Its CEO is Ari Grobman.
Lumus' waveguides are in Thales' Scorpion full-color head mounted display, Augmedics xVision system for guiding surgeons, MediThinQ's medical devices, Lenovo's ThinkReality A6 released in 2019 as well as Thirdeye's X2 MR Glasses.[1]
Lumus markets "reflective waveguides".[2]
Lumus works with Quanta.[2] Quanta gained licenses to produce Lumus optical engines.[2]
Lumus worked with Schott on a 2D pupil expanding reflective waveguide.[3]
Lumus supplied Thales Avionics PD-14 optical engines for the Scorpion helmet platform to military.[4]
Lumus partnered with Augmedics to provide optical engines for Augmedics' first xVision product, intended for surgery assist applications.[4]
