Display glasses are electronic glasses that have a built in digital display visible to the user when wearing them. The display appears to float in front of the user due to the angle of the light that is coming in.

A benefit of display glasses is that they can be a portable display with a large field of view that can used with a computer in certain situations superiorly to a laptop, tablet, or external monitor.

Display glasses can be built using waveguides or reflectors.

Display glasses can connect to a video source, such as over HDMI or VGA. Display glasses can be single view or two view.

Display glasses are generally a more primitive form of smartglasses compared to AR glasses. Display glasses do not have to have any 3D tracking capability.
