Texture gradient is a depth cue that involves a texture of a surface observably changing over distance.

It is a depth cue that can be seen with one eye, or with two eyes. This means it is a monocular depth cue.

It is possibly also known as texture perspective.

The creator of the concept is James J. Gibson.
