A volumetric display is a display that has light elements physically in a volume of space. It can generate perspective correct and focally correct content, but it has trouble with transparency.

It also supports multiple viewpoints.

Two examples of companies that have made volumetric displays are Voxon and Actuality.

A basic example is an LED cube.
