A superpixel is a pixel that looks different depending on the angle at which you look at it. It is the datastore behind a lens in a lens array-based light field display.

It can be conceptually used in a microlens-array-based light field display or a lenticular display.

Each superpixel can be a lens or a pinhole if using an LCD or OLED behind it.

Alternatively, it can be sequenced using a steerable beam.
