Oculus Connect 1 was an event held by Oculus in 2014.

It is officially known as Oculus Connect 2014. It was the first Oculus Connect.

It was held on September 20, 2014.[1][2]

Speakers

Brendan Iribe spoke first.[3][4] He spoke about how for hundreds of years, humans have been using 2D surfaces for media for over 100 years, across books, photos, and video games.[4] He namedropped both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, and referred to them by their first names, "Steve" and "Bill".[4] He also spoke about the open sourcing of the DK1 design. He said that he can't wait to see all the chinese knockoffs.

Michael Abrash spoke second.[3][4]

John Carmack spoke third.[3] He stood in the same place for an hour then eventually sat down.[5]
