Oculus Connect 1 was an event held by Oculus in 2014.
It is officially known as Oculus Connect 2014. It was the first Oculus Connect.
It was held on September 20, 2014.[1][2]
Speakers
Brendan Iribe spoke first.[3][4] He spoke about how for hundreds of years, humans have been using 2D surfaces for media for over 100 years, across books, photos, and video games. He mentioned how its always been a 2D surface that the user is trying to immerse themselves in.[4]
Michael Abrash spoke second.[3][4]
John Carmack spoke third.[3] He stood in the same place for an hour then eventually sat down.[5]
