Revision as of 04:27, 28 August 2024
CREAL is a company that has developed near-eye light field displays. CREAL has marketed displays as suitable for AR glasses.
One of CREAL's patents details the use of a 2D point light array as the light source that is lit up sequentially.[1] Each point light is a source of light such as an LED that has a pinhole mask, or the exit of an optical fiber.
In 2020, CREAL had planned to make a fixed foveated display.[2]
CREAL's work is influenced by the work of Andrew Maimome.
Display
CREAL has developed a small optical engine for light field display.
It has 36 degree diagonal field of view.[3]
The display surface has 91 percent transparency.[3]
