Meta was a company that developed and sold augmented reality headsets including the Meta 1 and Meta 2.

Its founder is Steve Mann.[1] Its co-founder and CEO is Meron Gribetz.

Meta is not to be confused with Meta Platforms, AKA facebook, or Meta materials.

It also advertised the Meta Pro.

Meta's product's original name is "SpaceGlasses".[2]

Founding

Steve Mann created the first Meta augmented reality eyeglasses in Toronto.[1] Afterwards, the company Meta was founded.

The Meta logo, hand-drawn in light, is based on a Mann's design, using abakography.[1]
