A headband-style headset is a display headset that uses a rigid band and a forehead pad and a back of head pad. Examples are the HoloLens 2 and Quest Pro.
Band-style headsets let the user see out of their visual periphery while wearing the headset, because nothing touches the cheeks for keeping the displays in place.
